This is our first ever “BLENDED” Sake! 50/50 blend of Junmai Genshu (Alc. 18%) made from Calrose Rice (California, USA) and Fraser Valley Junmai Renaissance (Alc. 14.5%) made from Abbotsford grown Ginpu Rice (Origin: Hokkaido, Japan).
While the Sake retains typical BC Rice flavour of earthy umami-laden savoury characters, the drier punchy Junmai Genshu adds masculinity and crispier finish. The result is a fruit-forward food-friendly Sake perfect for pairing with pasta and meat dishes cooked with tomato-based sauces.
